0 Lutcher, LA Lutcher, LA Full-time Full-time $30 - $42 an hour $30 - $42 an hour The RN Weekend Nursing Supervisor works with the Nursing Staff of the facility.
He/She plans, organizes, coordinates and directs the nursing functions for the professional and non-professional nursing personnel to ensure the highest quality of care is provided in a cost effective manner with the residents in the facility.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates leadership and managerial ability.
Organize, plan, and supervise the Nursing Department.
Must demonstrate ability to follow policies, procedures, practices and direction without the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing.
Is willing and capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
Must demonstrate the ability to function as a cooperative team member.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that each unit is appropriately staffed at the beginning of the shift.
Makes adjustments as necessary, replacing staff as needed for the oncoming shift.
Makes rounds Evaluating care Supervising professional and non-professional staff Communicating with residents, families and staff Assuring optimal environmental standards are being maintained Investigating any unusual occurrence Assists with care as necessary to assure quality care is provided.
This may include but not conclusive of assisting with ADL's, giving medications, doing treatments, supervising and assisting with meal service, calling physicians, transcribing orders, etc.
